To like my job again

Hi,
When I started my job, I liked it, and thought it was fun even. Now I am beginning to hate my job, and all day today all I wanted to do was quit. I don’t want to quit so easily. Please pray that I can handle the drudgery and toil, and the monotony of the job. Please pray that I like my job again, or at least that it is not so unbearable, especially as it was today.
Thank you for all prayers.
God bless you all. Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer to St. Joseph for the Unemployed

O Saint Joseph, we pray to you for those who are out of work, for those who want to earn their living or support their families.

You who are the patron of workers; grant that unemployment may vanish from our ranks; that all those who are ready to work may put their strength and abilities in serving their fellowmen and earn a just salary.

You are the patron of families; do not let those who have children to support and raise lack the necessary means. Have pity on our brothers and sisters held down in unemployment and poverty because of sickness or social disorders. Help our political leaders and captains of industry find new and just solutions. May each and every one have the joy of contributing, according to his abilities, to the common prosperity by an honorable livelihood. Grant that we may all share together in the abundant goods God has given us and that we may help underprivileged countries. Amen.

Praying for you, OP! In a similar boat myself…let’s row together! :frowning: :gopray: :knight2:

Pray for me, who is so miserable. Pray for me, that I may finally receive the consolations and the succour of Heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly in facing temptations towards despair at my place(s) of employment, and that I may praise God with the Elect Throughout Eternity. Amen

Sorry to hear the job is not going as well as it once was. I hope you can learn to acclimate to this job and are able to handle the monotony of it and things improve.

Mary.

Seek ye the grace of God,
And mercies from on high?
Invoke St. Joseph’s holy name,
And on his aid rely.

So shall the Lord, well-pleas’d,
Your earnest prayer fulfil;
The guilty cleanse from guilt, and make
the holy holier still.

So shall His tender care
To you through life be nigh;
So shall His love with triumph crown
Your dying agony.

Lock’d in the Virgin arms
of Mary and her Son; –
Embracing each in speechless joy
And sweetest union.

O Joseph, in what peace*
Was breath’d thy latest sigh!
Dear pattern of all those to come
Who should in Jesus die!

Hail, mightiest of saints!
To whom submissive bent
He whose Creator-hand outstretch’d
The starry firmament.

Hail, Mary’s spouse elect!
Hail, guardian of the Word!
Nurse of the Highest, and esteem’d
The father of the Lord!

Blest Trinity, to Thee,
From all in earth, in heaven,
And to St. Joseph’s holy name,
Be praise and honour given.

Ant. Blessed Joseph is the helper in troubles and
protector of all who piously call upon his name.
V.*Blessed be the name of Joseph,
R.*Henceforth and evermore.

Let us pray.

God, who art wonderful in Thy saints, and more
wonderful in Blessed Joseph, making him dispenser
of heavenly gifts over Thy family; grant, we beseech
Thee, that we who devoutly venerate his name on
earth may, through the assistance of his prayers and
merits, happily attain unto the haven of salvation.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

From The Raccolta or Collection of Indulgenced Prayers (1857 authorised translation) by Father Ambrose St. John ; hymn translated by Father Edward Caswall, pages 266-267.

Jesus, God and man,*
imprisoned by love in Thy most holy Sacrament,*
have mercy upon us.

  • Blessed John Henry Newman, December 22, 1851

Tú y yo sabemos por la fe que oculto en las especies sacramentales está Cristo,*
ese Cristo con su Cuerpo, con su Sangre, con su Alma, y con su Divinidad,*
prisonero de amor.

God loves to be resisted in His displeasure, and to be restrained by the humble from inflicting punishment… One saint will often save a nation; so true is it that humble souls are the hinges on which God moves the world.

Praying for your intentions about your job.
I felt the same way at my LAST job. I finally quit. Praying you will find a way to like your job again.

Praying for you and your intentions.

Praying.

Praying that you will come to like your job or at least be able to handle the aspects of it that you don’t like.

Praying to St. Joseph for you to find satisfaction at work.

Prayer to St. Monica

Lord Jesus, you were moved by the prayers and tears of St. Monica
and you gave the grace of conversion to St. Augustine your son.
Touch our hearts and convert us from fear to love,
from sickness to health and from conflict to peace of mind.
Bless all mothers, living or dead, known or unknown,
married, single or widowed.
May our lives draw others to love you.
Lord, it was at your altar that Saint Monica wanted to be remembered.
May we also have the heart of St. Monica to persevere with faith in all our trials.
Amen.

St. Monica, pray for us!
St. Joseph, pray for us!

i prayed for you and I can sometimes feel the same one thing you have to remember is that many jobs are repetetive even mundane, think about someone who cuts cucumbers all day long, he or she is also doing mundane things but there is joy in just doing that work, look for a positive end result, think about who your work is affecting, think about how your spending time with God during those 8 hours , think about being blessed to have means to live, how you can work with others, etc. think less about the work and more about God and things may fall into place and if not pray hard about it and let God lead you to where he wants you to be mentally physically etc. god bless

Hail Mary, full of grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

St. Thérèse of Liseux Prayer From “Story of A Soul”

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones,
and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

Amen. †

Lord, thank you that you are with me right now.
Your love surpasses all fear.
I give you the anxiety I feel.
I surrender all my worries to you.
Clear my mind;
Calm my heart;
Still my Spirit;
Relax my being, that, I may
always glorify you in everything
I write, speak and do.

Amen. †

Jesus, Help Me

In every need let me come to Thee with humble trust, saying,
Jesus, help me!

In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations,
Jesus, help me!

In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials,
Jesus, help me!

In the failure of my plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles and sorrows,
Jesus, help me!

When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good come from my efforts,
Jesus, help me!

When others fail me, and Thy grace alone can assist me,
Jesus, help me!

When I throw myself on Thy tender love as Father and Savior,
Jesus, help me!

When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me,
Jesus, help me!

When sickness and loneliness overcome me,
Jesus, help me!

Always, in weakness, falls and shortcomings of every kind,
Jesus, help me and never forsake me.

Thank You, dear Lord Jesus.

Amen. †

Sweet Heart of Jesus, be my love.
Sweet Heart of my Jesus, grant that I may always love You more.
Heart of Jesus, burning with love for us, set our hearts on fire with love of You.
Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like Your Heart.

Thank You, dear Lord Jesus.
