TURKEY - Bartholomew: the Child Jesus, who was forced to become a refugee, "is the authentic guardian of today’s refugees" [AN]

In his Christmas message, the Ecumenical Patriarch describes as a “truly a disgrace for the entire human race” the fact that children who have a right to life, education and development within their own family are forced to leave their homeland. Offering help and assistance to these brothers and sisters is “the most precious gifts of the wise men to the newborn Lord”.

There have been a number of inspirational statements among all of this, one from Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala as well.

I love Bartholomew. He is the shining example of Orthodoxy. I pray that his successor follows his wonderful example.
