The French naval vessel, which was also kept waiting offshore for a long period, finally unloaded its cargo in Thailand and had it trucked in. Couldn’t the US have done the same?

How would we know where the aid went? It could have been stolen in Thailand or the military government in Myanmar could have taken it for their own use. There would be no assurance that it went to the people who need it.
