Upcoming surgery / kidney stone

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless, and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible,
look kindly upon us, and increase your mercy in us,
that in difficult moments, we might not despair nor become despondent,
but with great confidence, submit ourselves to your holy will,
which is love and Mercy itself.
Amen.

Sorry for not posting yesterday. Doctor came in to see me yesterday morning, and was very pleased with how the surgery went.

I’m now at home taking it easy.

So a little update. I’m starting to get my energy back. Didn’t spend as much time sacked out on the couch today. I was actually up at 6 a.m. to get ready for a doctor appointment later that morning – even mostly brushed snow off my van myself (got a couple of assists).

I called and told my boss that I probably am not going to be back to the office on Monday. Doctor’s orders on discharge were that I could return to work in one week, which basically means Tuesday or Wednesday.

I am still going to try to make it to Mass on Sunday. I’m stubborn that way.

That your recovery continues and that you get well enough to return to all your usual activities.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world. x10

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Praying the Lord continue to help you in your recovery. Take care of yourself too! :bouquet:

Recovery has hit a speed bump. I’ve apparently come down with a slight urinary infection. About to head out the door to see my infectious disease doctor. Hopefully we can treat this outpatient.

Praying for your continued recovery

Almighty and merciful Father, by the power of your command, drive away from Mr. Z all forms of sickness and disease. Restore strength to his body and joy to his spirit, so that in his renewed health, he may bless and serve you, now and forevermore.
Amen.
:latin_cross:

Watch, O Lord, with those who wake, or watch,
or weep tonight, and give Your angels and saints charge over those who sleep. Tend Your sick ones, O Lord Christ. Rest Your weary ones. Bless Your dying ones. Soothe Your suffering ones. Pity Your afflicted ones. Shield Your joyous ones, and all for Your loves sake.

Amen.

Praying for complete recovery from the surgery and any illness.

Keep praying. Two more doses of the antibiotic; today and tomorrow.

Last night I had some concern that the antibiotic might not be working, but my symptoms are better this morning.
