US military forces conduct 2 major terror raids, seize Al Qaeda leader behind 1998 embassy bombings

Apparently our military can still do good work under a government shutdown. I am especially interested in how Muslim governments will respond to terrorists being tried in US courts for crimes committed in other countries.

The war against terrorism looks more and more like a third World War.

I was in Cairo when those bombings went down – potentially scary times. I’m happy about the two raids, and curious about how the legal process will turn out. I would imagine that there is a bunch of lawyers just salivating at the chance to sit first chair defense in a case like this.

It is an interesting turn of developments to try terrorists in a US court.
