Vandalism at Scottish parish earmarked as retirement home of Cardinal O'Brien

Windows have been broken at Our Lady of the Waves parish, East Dunbar, Scotland, where Cardinal Keith O’Brien was set to retire prior to announcement this week of his departure from UK for a several months.
The vandalism took place overnight Wednesday to Thursday this week, just after the Holy See announced the cardinal would be leaving the UK for a period of ‘spiritual renewal, prayer, and penance’ following his retirements as Archbishop of St Andrews and Edinburgh and his recent admissions about his conduct.
The cardinal had begun moving into the parish prior to the Vatican announcement this week.
