Vatican issues stamp to commemorate fifth centenary of the Protestant Reformation

Martin Luther and Philipp Melanchthon are featured on a new Vatican State postage stamp, issued yesterday, commemorating the fifth centenary of the Protestant Reformation.

This promises to be a lively thread, and I pray it remains civil.

I am pleased to see that the figure of Jesus crucified is at the center of the stamp, and even the value of the stamp, 1.00 euro, symbolizes unity in other ways (mathematical and political).
