Violence, healing and mercy

They’re killing a man in Georgia tonight.

I know that there are many well defended views regarding capital punishment, but a man will die tonight.

I know there are people suffering due to this person’s actions, but a man will die tonight.

I know that some will say that this will bring closure to or justice for the family members, but a man will die tonight.

I will stand on a street corner in silent protest - some passersby will yell others will not, but a man will die tonight.

Jesus died on the cross because a man killed someone and he in turn will die tonight.

No matter what your individual feelings towards this issue are, please pray tonight for an end to violence, healing for those who have been injured, and the Lord’s Mercy for us all.

For your intentions:

Remember O Most Gracious Virgin Mary
that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence we fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, our Mother.
To thee do we come, before thee we stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not our petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer them. Amen.

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit Of Thy Womb,
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
