"From reliable information received it appears that this statue was only on the bonfire for 10 minutes before it was photographed, but it was then removed immediately by responsible community leaders who were aware of the offence this incident would cause.

An incident like this will cause outrage and create more tension.

I think that the point was that the people that were there (Orangemen) were the ones that pulled out the statue and returned it.

They were attempting to reduce the provocation. It was appreciated by those they returned it to there.:slight_smile:
