It seems Shakespeare looks more Catholic than Protestant playwright. May his works contain any hidden doctrines? May his works enrich Catholic apologetics? Are there any Catholic theological explorations of Shakespeare?
It’s possible that Shakespeare was Catholic, but scholars do not know enough about his life to say for certain. His plays though do indeed contain more of a Catholic than Protestant sensibility to them. For more information, I recommend the book linked below.
