What do I do? Daughter wants to be married outside.

My daughter informs us she wants to get married outside instead of in a church. How do I handle this situation???

You do not state if your daughter’s fiancé is also Catholic, which is an important issue. While I’ve included several links below, I encourage you to speak to your priest about possible alternatives, such as an evening reception in a garden, that could allow your daughter to marry in the Church. If you have any further questions or concerns that are not answered by these links, please contact Catholic Answers directly.
