What is the best pro-life response to this question?

A fetus is attached to the uterus wall and is attached to an umbilical cord. It is therefore part of a womans body, it is not an independant organism.

What is the best pro-life response?

Conjoined twins have a similar situation. So, in their case, which one has the “right to choose”? They may share organs necessary to sustain life but no one would say that they are just one person.

Being attached and dependant does not reduce one person to a mere part of another’s body. A child’s physical attachment to his or her mother is naturally necessary for awhile. That is the way each of us started out. That’s the way God made us.
