What is this great reset appearing in a few threads. It has not reached our Aussie shores.
I posted a link about in the other thread you replied to, but I’m guessing you didn’t see it.
It’s an initiative by the World Economic Forum (WEF) to incorporate some of the lessons we’ve learned from the covid-19 pandemic and build a more robust and equitable world economy.
The WEF chairman has an article about it here:
And the WEF also has a microsite about the great reset here:
The specifics haven’t been decided yet, but the article outlines three broad goals (quoting from the article):
The first would steer the market toward fairer outcomes. To this end, governments should improve coordination (for example, in tax, regulatory, and fiscal policy), upgrade trade arrangements, and create the conditions for a “stakeholder economy.”
The second component of a Great Reset agenda would ensure that investments advance shared goals, such as equality and sustainability.
The third and final priority of a Great Reset agenda is to harness the innovations of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to support the public good, especially by addressing health and social challenges.
He goes into a little more detail about each of those goals in the article. I didn’t post the whole section because I didn’t think I could fit it in CAF’s post-length limits, but it’s worth a read if you’re interested.
I would not want to go off topic on another thread . Thanks for answering here
