What vestiges of Catharism are left in southern France?

If any of you have spent time in southern France I’d like to know if there is a surviving Cathar culture there, perhaps an anti-Catholic streak or a noticeable independence of spirit among the people. I’m imagining that the years of Catharism there in the middle ages may have left a peculiar culture that is the “daughter” of Catharism today. Any thoughts?
