What was Paul's role in the early church?

We know that Peter was the foundation of the Church, by the special authority given to him by Jesus. What was Paul’s role in the beginnings of the church? Thanks for your help!

Paul is known as the Apostle to the Gentiles. That pretty much sums up his ministry–bringing the Good News to all people, Jew or not.

Actually prophets and aposles are the foundation (eph 2:20). Peter is the chief visible shepherd. The head of the Apostles. Peter is always the one who responds when a question is asked of the apostles as a group. Paul was an evangelist and an Apostle. Therefore he would have been a part of the foundation of the Church. As spoken above his is also charged with preaching the Gospel in particular to the gentiles.
