Whatever happened to this topic on the Copernican Principle?

#1

Continuing the discussion from Copernius, Galileo wrong. Church right. Any apologies?:

The movie “The Principle” is still going. It did open in theattres (limited), and is available on a lot of venues. Has anyone seen it? Thoughts?

The earth cannot be the centre of the universe because parts of the earth are moving relative to one another: continental drift, earthquakes and similar.

At most one one part of the earth can be at the centre, and that only for a limited time until it moves.

Alternatively, you could use Borges’ “Infinite sphere whose centre is everywhere and circumference nowhere.” In that case each of us is always at the centre of the universe.
