What's all the hub-bub about the Latin Mass?

I know there’s lots of discussion, but I really don’t understand. There is some Latin spoken during one of the local masses, but the priest doesn’t face the alter.

Are the Latin parts just substituted for the english parts?

The best way to understand the difference is to see it for yourself. The following link is to a video of a Solemn High Mass on Easter Sunday, 1941…so it was all the “bells and whistles”, and has a running explanation from Bishop Fulton Sheen (then a monsignor). This is the Mass people are referring to when they speak of “the Latin Mass” or TLM.
