What's it like to be a Secular Franciscan?

What’s it like to be a Secular Franciscan?

It just occurred to me that I might become one. I first heard about them in grade school, and more recently I actually met one, and I’ve read a bit about them through the biography of St. Francis by Omer Englebert.

Please pray for my discernment in this matter, and especially that I have a pure intention in doing this.

Peace and all good!

I am currently discerning the SFO.

I really have just started and it’s a new group in our parish. So far, I really enjoy it and have actually grown quite a bit since I have started attending meetings and reading. It is a process though and I am in just the beginning of it. It is interesting that once I got all my ducks in a row, so to speak, coming back to the Church this opportunity opened up  The Lord knows me better than I know myself and drew me in this direction.

I will pray for your discernment, wherever that will lead you.

Many blessings!
