What’s the difference between justification and salvation? Someone who teaches RCIA says it’s the same thing. Aren’t they both different? Thanks!
There is a difference. Salvation is our entrance into the Beatific Vision. Justification is our entrance into the state of sanctifying grace. Salvation is achieved after death, however we can be justified in this life. If we persevere in grace we are rewarded with salvation, if we accept grace we are rewarded with justification.
Justification is what we get in baptism : we become adodpted children of God and heirs to heaven
Salvation is being in the state of justification (sanctiying grace) when we die.
