When a Pope writes a book, is all in it true?

When a Pope writes a book, are the entire contents true? Are we do believe all that he says when it is in a book? I have some questions about a book that Pope John Paul II wrote back in the 90’s. I’m not sure if I can even question what he says in it? Thanks for any guidance you can give.
