When a priest goes to Confession, is he required to tell his confessor that he is also a priest?

Thanks in advance for answering my question.

Yes because some of his sins could take on the added penalty of sacrilege due to the sacredness of his vocation. Also, if he is in the vows of religious life, he must mention this for the same reason.

Fr. Vincent Serpa, O.P.
