My dear Friend in Christ,
Thank you for criticizing the author [me] and NOT the messenger God
It would seem that either I was very inarticulate in my last POST, or you’re struggling with the issue of TRUTH.
The 10 Commandments: Exo. 20:
And God spoke all these words, saying,
- "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.” You shall have no other gods before me.”
2. “Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day”
3."You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain;
4. "Honor your father and your mother,
5. "You shall not kill. “
6. "You shall not commit adultery”.
7. "You shall not steal”.
8. "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.”
9. “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; or property”
10. “you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant, or his maidservant, or his ox, or his ass, or anything that is your neighbors.”
God is epitomized in Creation
True; BUT nothing in God’s Creation except humanity [Gen 1:26-27]
ACTUALLY emulates our God. Only humanity CAN , Know, Love, Serve and OBEY God
Christ died to forgive our sins. Why then bang on about sin when it is already forgiven?
Christ died so our sins MIGHT be forgiven [HIS WAY]
The Protestant theory of justification through Christ atonement is lacking is several KEY ways, seems to me to be an understatement.
It is critically important to recall that this Sola Fide historically is a Post Reformation creation; some 1,400 YEARS after the bible was fully authored; [the bible IS a Catholic book] and it was after this extreme length of time, that Luther, an agnostic priest, presumed to change the Teachings of the RCC, and claim that Christ that it Christ Atonement that is sufficient to effect ones Justification. But friend, that is not actually biblical, nor is it morally sound thinking.
I do NOT make lite of the importance of LOVE that the bible [and the RCC] teach. Indeed some years ago I was asked by a student to describe the bible is a SINGLE word. The WORD I choose is Love. But to assume with all of its implications that this negates ALL other teachings in the bible, including GODS 10 Commandments is incomprehensibly reckless, and lack mature reflection and prayer.
My point is this: On balance, if this village were to be judged en-masse before God we could say:
We protected life
We protected childhood
We protected respect
AND GOD would reply…. AND!!!
What about MY COMMANDMENTS?
Matt.19:17 “And he said to him, "Why do you ask me about what is good? One there is who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments."
Attempting to dictate to GOD how He MUST save you; or trying to negotiate your salvation is impossible.
Seek God’s TRUTHS friend; that is the way to salvation, and keep up the charity.
I will also point out, God will judge your village; RATHER He will judge individually each Soul in it based upon what he GOD has made POSSIBLE for them to know.
May God guide you to HIS truths,
