Where is my destiny?

I’m a young Catholic single woman and I’ve been meeting a lot of men either by personal encounter, through friends and through online Catholic Single groups. I’ve been exposed to different personalities of men but I think I haven’t met the one that suits me well. My guy friends would say that I look good, smart, charming and attractive however, nobody in my country asked me out on a date ever. LOL

Sometimes I wonder if there’s something wrong with me.

There are nice, good and great guys out there but it seems that nobody suits my personality. Is there anyone here who ever experienced it?

Thanks and God bless! :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m not so sure rushing to get married is necessarily a good thing. I am sure making sure the one you eventually marry is the right one for you is a good thing! But I’ve been married a long time, so…

I am not rushing into marriage. I’m 27, it’s just that I feel sometimes that nobody is suited for me or there’s something with my personality. It just adds up to my anxiety esp for a woman who never been into personal romantic relationship. :grimacing:

Yeah, I hear you! Maybe a change of location? Moving to another country (near relatives or friends, of course), or doing volunteer or mission work? You’d get to meet new people and have some valuable life experiences, as long as the place you live for awhile is safe.

As for anxieties, women (especially in the US) are getting married much later, and adoption is an option many are choosing later in life. Seems like a good option, since we’re all adopted by God, in a sense.

Also, for what it’s worth, these words always helped me for some reason:

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Also, likes and dislikes are usually subjective. What one guy doesn’t like, another will really like! So, don’t worry much about your personality. There’s likely someone God has placed somewhere who likes you just as you are!

I mean, change the things you yourself don’t like, if you can, but don’t try to be someone you’re not. Otherwise, after you’re married, your husband will find you weren’t the person he thought he married. Make sense?

Thank you so much for those words. I really appreciate it. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you for listening! Always feels good to try to help someone out.
