White professor's lawsuit against Alabama State University claims retaliation against him and same-sex partner

From the Birmingham News:

A white Alabama State University professor has filed a federal lawsuit that claims the historically black university retaliated against him for his and his same-sex partner’s complaints about racially discriminatory hiring practices at ASU.

An attorney for John L. Garland, who has a doctorate degree, filed the lawsuit Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Montgomery against the ASU and eight current or former university officials.

(snip)

Garland states in the lawsuit that the complaint is being filed to “redress retaliation” taken against him for his opposition to discriminatory practices and for filing charges with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

It will be interesting to see the unfolds with the Obama Administration’s Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

As BO is a fan of injecting himself into public and private matters, without actually knowing the facts first, this would prove interesting should his speak.

Which continuency that he milks with pity and prays upon for votes will he side with? Oh the drama.
