Who does this quote belong to?

For those who believe, no explanation is needed. For those who don’t, no explanation will suffice.

I have a feeling it was St. Thomas Aquinas. Can anyone confirm or deny?

I have seen it attributed to Fr. John LaFarge.

I have also seen it attributed to St. Thomas Aquinas.

So I suppose St. Thomas is it, maybe Father was just quoting him.

Is it from the ** The Song Of Bernadette:) **

  :bounce: :rotfl:

If I’m not mistaken, St. Thomas Aquinas in this quote seems to have been thinking of St. Augustine’s earlier remark that “For we believe in order to know, we do not know in order to believe”. :hmmm:
