Technically, I the Sabbath is from Sundown to Sundown, i.e. Saturday evening to Sunday evening.
On Easter we moved the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday because JESUS rose from the dead on Sunday. We no longer call it the Sabbath, it is Sunday, but we are still bound by the 3rd commandment to observe the Sunday as a day of rest.
The Sabbath that was moved began on Friday Sundown and continued through Saturday Sundown. That was why the burial of JESUS was delayed, as the Sabbath or Sundown was rapidly approaching on Good Friday when JESUS died, and there was insufficent time to comlpete HIS burial in accordance with the Jewish customs, so the plan was to return after the Sabbath, which would be early Sunday morning and complete the burial protocol - but HE was risen.
So, in moving to Sunday, we did not change the hours of the day of rest, it still begins on Sundown Saturday, which would allow for a Saturday evening worship for a Sunday.
