Why does the Creed say, "on the third day he rose again?"

The Apostles’ Creed says 'on the third day he rose again’
and the Nicene Creed says ’ and rose again on the third day’

My questions is this: When did He - Jesus Christ, rise the first time?

Thank you in advance!

Mark
