Why is The Archangel Michael is also known as Saint Michael?

Hi!

A question came up that I need some help with. I looked around on the internet, but did not see a satisfactory answer. Perhaps someone here can help me.

I would like to know - Why is The Archangel Michael is also known as Saint Michael?

According to what I thought a Saint was a human being, so I am confused as to why an Angel is being referred to as a Saint.

I hope somone can help me out with this.

Thank you!
