Why only the Body?

Is the Blood of Christ offered in Holy Communion even though only the bread is offered? Am I right in saying that one must consume both the Body and Blood of Christ? Is the wine restricted only to the clergy, and if so, why?

It has been the constant teaching of the Church that the consecrated bread and the consecrated wine each contains the whole Christ, body, blood, soul and divinity. So whether you consume only the Host or only the consecrated wine, you receive Christ.
