Widowed Priests?

Is it possible for a middle aged widower, with grown self sufficent children (no dependents, debt etc) to enter the priesthood?

And y’all don’t think that is ME,:ehh: cause I was just curious.

Sure. I know a wonderful priest in Dallas who was married with children when he became a deacon. After his wife died he felt called to the priesthood. He had adult children when he was ordained.

Yes, men [widowed] may become priests…

What a unique postion these men are in.

I have known some, so yes, it is possible.

The beauty is that these blessed men are able to receive all 7 Sacraments.:highprayer:
