Will few be saved?

Hi,

This is a follow up question to a previous AAA question. I found this website with several quotes from Saints, Doctors of the Church and Sacred Scripture:
saintsquotes.net/selection%20-%20fewness.html

It asserts with lots of evidence that many will be damned, and that this was a common opinion for a very long time in the Church (although I think Saint Pio actually said he believed not many will be damned). Also, I know that whoever wants to be saved, as long as he or she applies all in their power to cooperate with the grace of God, will without doubt be a saint.

I know that there technically is not official document on the exact number of souls in hell, but if the saints, Doctors of the Church, and what Sacred Scripture implies is true, how can it be possible that so few will be saved if God is infinitely good?
