My go-to order was a fish sandwich, a medium Coke, and mayyyybe a thing of fries if I was hungry.
But I noticed that when I packed my lunch (leftovers from home) for a long period, and then ended up needing to grab fast food one day, that I could really tell the difference in the way my body handled junk food. So even though I might still be hungry, I’d make myself wait until I got home to eat proper food.
DH lost about 30 lbs doing Wheatbelly. (Cut out sugar and grains.) Some friends of mine lost about 70 lbs doing Keto (very similar-- cutting out sugar and grains to the point that your body goes into nutritional ketosis). After I heard that, I tried doing keto for a few weeks, and lost about 7 lbs. Then we had things like birthdays and Thanksgiving, and I ate a bunch of junk, and gained about 5 lbs back. Now I’m back on the bandwagon and have lost about 3 lbs since last Monday. So it’s slow going, but it’s going in the right direction.
Congrats on your 20 lbs! That’s an accomplishment! I was looking at FB pics of a guy I knew but hadn’t seen in several years. The last I’d seen him, he was a big, tall, teddy bear of a guy. Then he went through a bunch of emotional crises, and used it as motivation. He dropped about 90-100 lbs and looked really awesome. He had worked had, and it showed.
