Wrongful birth

Just read this sad piece on ‘wrongful birth’. I am proud of my state legislature to consider abolishing the cause of action. Most heartbreaking is the apparent inability to recognize the value of “wrongly born” child.

Killing a helpless unborn baby for any reason is wrong. You can’t kill someone just because there not perfect. God will reward her for her suffering, for all ETERNITY!! God help us. Memaw

The labelling “wrongful birth” certainly grates.

Consistency is required of the law. It does follow that **IF **abortion is a legally acceptable course of action (be it for arbitrary reasons, or other relevant reasons), then the failure of a doctor to diagnose a severe birth defect, or severe risk, logically, raises a potential course of action against the doctor.
