WTS in eyes of Church?

What is the view of Holy Mother Church on the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (Jehovah’s Witnesses). Thanks!

Heretical with invalid baptism is what I’m certain about. Thus not technically Christians.

Modern day Arrians with gnostic flare.

Invalid baptism, certainly, and possibly former Catholics who convert to Jehovah’s Witnesses could individually be considered heretics, but the organization itself is probably not heretical.

“A person must be baptized to commit heresy. This means that movements that have split off from or been influenced by Christianity, but that do not practice baptism (or do not practice valid baptism), are not heresies, but separate religions. Examples include Muslims, who do not practice baptism, and Jehovah’s Witnesses, who do not practice valid baptism.”

Protestantism is listed as a heresy, but individuals born into Protestant churches today are probably not, themselves, heretics.

"818 “However, one cannot charge with the sin of the separation those who at present are born into these communities [that resulted from such separation] and in them are brought up in the faith of Christ, and the Catholic Church accepts them with respect and affection as brothers . . . . All who have been justified by faith in Baptism are incorporated into Christ; they therefore have a right to be called Christians, and with good reason are accepted as brothers in the Lord by the children of the Catholic Church.” (from the catechism)

I’m not Catholic, and couldn’t find a particular reference to Jehovah’s Witnesses defining their status, but since they are not recognized as having valid baptism, my guess is that they would be considered a separate, non-Christian religion. Which doesn’t make them all bad, of course.

"841 The Church’s relationship with the Muslims. "The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day. . . "

843 The Catholic Church recognizes in other religions that search, among shadows and images, for the God who is unknown yet near since he gives life and breath and all things and wants all men to be saved. Thus, the Church considers all goodness and truth found in these religions as “a preparation for the Gospel and given by him who enlightens all men that they may at length have life.”

Ok, thanks! That’s what I thought but wanted to be sure.

watchtower bible was a “doctored doctrine” to fit what they believed. in john 1:1 they added prep “a” to read “in the beginning was the word, and the word was with god, and the word was A god.” why they did this? they don’t believe Jesus is God. they don’t worship him.
God bless.

Let’s not even go into it…their “New World version” is sacrilegious almost in its entirety, and the doctrine (of Adventist origin) contains a combination of most of the heresies ever since Arianism (including such things as quartodecimanism, unheard of in centuries). Above all: *not Christians *(though they say otherwise).
